Sales & Service Specialist - Broome

We are looking for a customer focussed and dynamic person to join our Broome team as a Sales & Service Specialist. Adding value for our customers by offering an unsurpassed level of customer service. This role brings together our Retail & Trade Hardware offer along with our Small Engine Sales & Service Centre to service our local customers with the right knowledge and advice. 

We require a motivated and enthusiastic person who is willing to embrace and drive change while learning the ropes of a diverse and a busy store. You will get the opportunity for ongoing training and development to improve your mechanical skills, customer service skills, leadership skills, and the chance to work in different areas of the store whilst pursuing growth and learning on a daily basis.

Our roles suit those who are willing to work in a team environment where no two days will be the same. This position requires the ability to work every second Saturday morning.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Prior experience with hardware, small engines or within the building industry is essential. The role is well suited to someone with confidence who enjoys working with people. 

  • Sales & Service enquiries
  • Liaise with customers to offer technical advice and recommendation of outdoor power equipment
  • Service and repairs for small engines (Honda & Stihl)
  • Hardware sales, stock movement and replenishment, housekeeping and store presentation
  • Processing of customer orders & quotes by phone and email
  • Preparing accurate quotes for customer orders
  • Undertake regular product training with market leading brands

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Experience with or interest in mechanics
  • Physically fit with the ability to safely lift loads and manually handle goods 
  • Looking for new learning opportunities to expand your current skill set
  • Exceptional attention to detail coupled with high level of accuracy 
  • Previous experience in cash handling and point of sale
  • Computer literate and ability to learn new systems quickly

Truss Plant Team Member - Darwin

We are looking for an adventurous, passionate and dynamic person to join our team as a Truss Plant Worker. Our Truss Plant Workers are responsible for putting together home truss and frames ready for the builder.  Your attention to detail will be key to this role, as well as working within a team environment to get the job done right the first time.  You’ll be operating timber cutting machinery and other power tools in this role, so safety is a key component of this role.

We require a motivated and enthusiastic person who is willing to embrace and drive change while learning the ropes of being part of a busy plant. You will get the opportunity for ongoing training and development to improve your skills and the chance to work in different areas of the pant whilst pursuing growth and learning on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Prior experience with Jig setting and Truss fabrication is highly desirable, however not essential for someone who is keen and eager to learn. The role is well suited to someone with confidence who enjoys working with people. 

  • Cutting and assembling frames and trusses

  • Assembly of prefab frames and roof trusses

  • Picking timber orders and general yard work

  • Assess stock requirements and job prioritisation

  • Ensure jobs are completed within a timely manner

  • Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions.

  • Ensure product is handled safely to prevent injury and damage to product.

  • Undertake regular product training with market leading brands

  • Have a commitment to ongoing job security

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Utilisation of various hand and power tools for assembly is part of the everyday and we therefore need someone who can and will safely operate and maintain equipment and machinery

  • Physically fit with the ability to safely lift loads and manually handle goods

  • Exceptional attention to detail coupled with high level of accuracy

  • High awareness of site safety and duty of care for your team, staff and site visitors

  • Prior experience with truss fabrication is highly desirable

  • Ability to learn new skills and understand instructions

  • Enjoyment of manual labour and getting your hands dirty

  • Previous experience working in a factory environment

  • Experience with hand tools advantageous

  • Finally have a ‘hands on’ with a ‘can do’ attitude

We require an enthusiastic person who is willing to embrace and drive change while learning the ropes of being part of a busy store. A good understanding of hardware trade knowledge, timbers and heavy building materials is highly advantageous. RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Process customer orders & quotes by phone and email
  • Cross sell product ranges to builders for a one stop shop approach
  • Hands on approach with the ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines and most importantly deliver to our customers. 
  • Customer Service and assistance as required
  • Follow agreed plans, systems and processes 
  • Monitoring orders and ensuring delays are communicated to the builders
  • Review invoices to ensure accuracy at all times
  • Monitoring stock levels to ensure supply and demand needs are met
  • Undertake regular product training with market leading brands

Forklift Driver - Broome

A very rare opportunity as presented itself and we are looking for a customer focused and committed person to join our team as a Yard Person. This role brings together heavy building materials to service our local customers with the right knowledge and advice.

You will work closely with Branch Management to provide an efficient and timely delivery service to our customers. You will get the opportunity for ongoing training and development to improve your supervisory skills, hardware knowledge and the chance to work in different areas of the store whilst pursuing growth and learning on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Prior experience with hardware, or within the building industry is ideal. The role is well suited to someone with confidence who enjoys working with people.  

  • Receive, move, relocate, store and load stock in keeping with the company workplace health and safety practises

  • Prepare orders for delivery in an accurate and timely manner, including being appropriately packaged for transport

  • Assist with delivery of goods including unloading at site

  • Collate and load customer orders ready for delivery or pick up by customer

  • Work with wider team to ensure yard and work environment are clean and kept in a safe manner adhering to workplace health and safety guidelines

  • Ensure loads are appropriately secured to meet requirements and ensure goods are not damaged

  • High level of customer service to all internal and external customers at all times

  • Undertake regular product training with market leading brands
